My family loves the peach milkshake at Chick-fil-A, so I made a peach milkshake we can enjoy at home. This milkshake is so creamy and has the perfect balance between peach flavor and ice cream. I really wanted the peaches to shine, and they do!

My kids love milkshakes! Especially when the sun is shining, milkshakes are the perfect treat to cool off. They love this Oreo milkshake, my Biscoff Milkshake and my Reese’s blizzard. They think it’s so fancy and I think it’s so easy. Win-win.

Why This Recipe Works

  • Whenever peach season rolls around, I can’t help but buy a huge bushel of them! And even though I can eat plenty of fresh peaches on my own, there’s always the pressure of trying to each them all before they get too ripe. But with this peach milkshake recipe, it’s the perfect recipe to use your ripe peaches. In fact, the riper the peach, the sweeter the flavor — perfect for a milkshake.
  • There’s no sugar added! I mean, besides the ice cream.
  • It’s nostalgic of your favorite Chick-fil-A peach milkshake!

Ingredients

Ingredients used to make a peach milkshake.
  • Peaches: I love fresh peaches and this recipe is a perfect place to use them, but you can also use frozen peaches for this too. You’ll probably need to add a bit more milk to get more milkshake consistency since the frozen peaches won’t bring the juice like fresh peaches will.
  • Vanilla Ice Cream: You’ll need about 4-5 cups of ice cream to get the quantity you want. This recipe makes 2 milkshakes.
  • Milk: The milk is optional. Depending on how juicy your peaches are, the milk is there to make the consistency a bit more milkshake-like.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Add the peaches, ice cream, and a portion of the milk. Blend until smooth. Add in more milk to reach your desired consistency
  1. Pour into glasses and top with some fresh whipped cream.

Recipe Tips

Peaches

  • For a strong peach flavor use ripe peaches.
  • I used 16 oz of peaches after they were peeled, pitted, and sliced.
  • Can use frozen store-bought peaches, but may not have as strong a flavor. However, using the frozen peaches will result in a very thick milkshake! You may need to add more milk to the blender if doing this.
  • If peaches are really juicy you can eliminate the milk entirely and add it only if the milkshake needs thinning; this will give you a thicker milkshake consistency.
  • You can use canned peaches, but the flavor will be very different. (Canned peaches and fresh peaches taste so different to me!)

Milk

  • You don’t have to add the milk. In fact, I would suggest blending the peaches and just the ice cream then adding milk a tablespoon at a time until it reaches your desired consistency and thickness. Fresh peaches can vary with how juicy they are, so it’s hard to say exactly how much milk your shake will need.

Ice Cream

  • I used vanilla bean ice cream but you can use any kind of vanilla ice cream, even homemade vanilla ice cream
  • I used about 2 cups of ice cream (I really wanted the peach flavor to shine in this shake, so I didn’t want to dilute that flavor with too much ice cream). You’ll need about 4-5 large scoops of ice cream.

If you don’t eat all of the milkshake in one sitting you can freeze it for later.

FAQs

Does Chick-fil-A have the peach milkshake?

Apparently the peach milkshake at Chick-fil-A is seasonal, so you can only get it during the summer. Thanks to this recipe, you can make it at home all year long!

How do you make a thick milkshake?

To adjust the thickness, reduce the amount of liquid. True to its name, milkshakes contain milk. If you want a milkshake with a thicker consistency, then only at a splash of milk at a time until you get the desired consistency.

When are peaches in season?

Typically the growing season for peaches is the summer. However, depending on the location, the peak season for peaches can differ. For example, Georgia peaches are in season from May to September with July being the peak part of the season. Utah peaches hit their peak around August.
