Staying hydrated in the summer is so important and what better way to do it than with peach-infused water! This peach water recipe is so simple and your water will taste amazing with the added fruits and herbs.

I made my 4th of July fruit water and realized it was about time I put one of my favorite fruits in water — peaches! Really whether it’s peach water, fresh peach pie, peach fritters, or peach dessert, you really can’t go wrong when it comes to peaches.

Why This Recipe Works

  • This recipe is so easy and customizable.
  • It only takes a few ingredients and some time to chill and get the flavors incorporated into the water.
  • Using fruit-infused water is a great way to increase your intake of water during the hot months — a fun and delicious way to enjoy your water.

Ingredients

Ingredients and fruits used to make peach infused water.
  • Peaches: Simply wash and slice the peaches — feel free to keep the skin on!
  • Water: Fill up a nice bit pitcher of water to enjoy the peach water throughout the day.
  • Basil, Mint or Other Herbs: I had fresh basil on hand, so I used that. However, fresh mint would also be delicious!
  • Lemons/Limes: Adding slices of lemons and limes will add to the flavor and look of your fruit water.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the fruit and herbs.
  2. Place the sliced peaches, herbs and other fruit mix-ins into a large pitcher of water. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours so the flavors can develop. Enjoy cold!

Recipe Tips

Breaking up or cutting some of the herbs (rather than just leaving them in entire leaves) can help the flavor penetrate the water better.

Infuse for a few hours (depends on the fruit you’re using). Apples, will take a bit longer, whereas citrus fruits can infuse in a couple of hours.

This peach water recipe is great for people who don’t love the taste of plain water. Fun to switch it up with different fruit and herb flavors!

Variations

The flavor combinations here are endless! You could do strawberry and peach, mango and peach, peach and mint, etc. I had fresh basil on hand so that’s what I used. And can also add and combine any of the fruits so that there’s more than just the 2 pairings together, such as strawberry, peach and mint. Get creative!

You can also use different water such as sparkling water (fizzy water) or mineral water.

The combinations you’ll see in my photos are: peach + fresh ginger, peach + sliced limes, peach + sliced lemon + basil, peach + blueberries.

Storing

Best to enjoy fresh, but infused fruit water will keep for about 2 days in the fridge.

FAQs

What is fruit-infused water?

Fruit-infused water is water that has fruit, vegetables and herbs sitting in the water for some time. Over time, the water takes on the flavors of the ingredients sitting in it and you get this nice, subtle flavor to your water that is delicious!

What fruits should I put in my water?

There are so many fun options! You can use lemons, limes, cucumbers, peaches, strawberries, kiwis, etc.

Can you use canned peaches in fruit water?

Sure, will just have different flavor because personally I think canned peaches taste different from fresh peaches.

Is putting fruit in your water healthy?

While the water will take on some of the nutrients of the fruit, it’s smart to eat the fruit after you finish your fruit-infused water. Fruit water is good for you if anything just because it can increase your daily intake of water since the water has added flavor.
