These cookie dough bites taste just like the Ben and Jerry's Cookie Dough Bites they sell at the grocery store, but making your own is faster, cheaper, and definitely more affordable. Munch on these bites throughout the day or add them to homemade ice cream.
1/2cupmini chocolate chipscan use regular semi sweet chocolate chips if you prefer, the mini make so there are more chocolate chips in the chunks.
Instructions
Place the flour in a microwave safe bowl and heat on high in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval. Continue heating until flour reads 165°F on an instant read thermometer. This will take about 45 seconds to 1 minute.
In the bowl of an electric mixer (Fitted with paddle attachment) cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the vanilla, cream, and salt. Beat until combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the heated flour and mix to combine.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
You can keep the dough as is and munch on it, just store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
How to Make Into Cookie Dough Bites
Roll the cookie dough into 2-3 ropes about ½” inch thick. Place the rope(s) on a parchment lined baking sheet and place the cookie dough in the freezer. Once cold remove from the freezer and cut the rope into bite sized pieces, about ½” inch chunks. Store in a freezer safe bag or container for up to 3 months. These are so yummy to snack on! Stir them into homemade ice cream or use as an ice cream topping.
Notes
