Instructions
Select 1 or 2 fruit/herb "mix ins" you'd like to use.
Place the sliced peaches, and the 1 or 2 "mix ins" in a large glass (or pitcher). Refrigerate for an hour or two so that the flavors can develop. Enjoy cold!
Notes
I usually just add 1 "mix-in" to my peach water. In the blog post you'll see in the photos that I did:
peach + fresh ginger
peach + sliced limes
peach + sliced lemon + basil
peach + blueberries
You can pair the peaches with 1 mix-in or multiple, it's up to you! Storing: best to enjoy fresh but infused fruit water will keep for about 2 days in the fridge.Variation: Could also use sparkling water or mineral water.Infuse for a few hours (depends on the fruit you’re using). Apples, will take a bit longer, whereas citrus fruits can infuse in a couple of hours. Can you use canned peaches? Sure, will just have different flavor because personally I think canned peaches taste different from fresh peaches. This "recipe" is great for people who don’t love the taste of plain water. Fun to switch it up with different fruit and herb flavors! The flavor combinations here are endless! You could do strawberry and peach, mango and peach, peach and mint, etc. I had fresh basil on hand so that's what I used. And can also add and combine any of the fruits so that there's more than just the 2 pairings together, such as strawberry, peach and mint. Get creative!Breaking up or cutting some of the herbs (rather than just leaving them in entire leaves) can help the flavor penetrate the water better.Nutritional information does not include the infused water fruit and herb "mix ins."
