Cranberry Mocktail

A sweet holiday drink with cranberry juice, fresh orange juice, and ginger ale. This is a great party drink perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cranberry juice unsweetened, chilled
  • 1 cup orange juice freshly squeezed, chilled
  • 1 cup ginger ale or Sprite
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup chilled, 2:1 (for example 1 cup sugar to 1/2 cup water).

Garnishes

  • fresh orange slices
  • fresh cranberries

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher combine the cranberry juice, orange juice, simple syrup and ginger ale. Stir to combine. 
  • Pour the drink into 4 – 8 oz glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a fresh orange slice and a few fresh cranberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

Making a simple syrup: To make a simple syrup add a 2:1 ratio of sugar to water in a small pot. For example I did 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Chill before adding it into the drink. You won't use all of the simple syrup, store it in the fridge for later use.
