Why This Recipe Works
- Made with just a few basic and simple ingredients, this banana peach smoothie recipe gives us all the best flavors in every sip.
- Unlike some other smoothie recipes, this one doesn’t use ice. This means that you don’t have to worry about your drink becoming watered down as you slowly sip away in bliss.
- You can use fresh or frozen fruit depending on what you have on hand but using frozen ones will give you an even thicker smoothie- yum!
- This peach banana smoothie is versatile and can be made to accommodate dairy-free lifestyles. Tips for doing this are included on the recipe card below.
Ingredients
- Peaches: Frozen peaches can be found in grocery stores but you can use fresh peaches if you have them on hand, just see the notes in the recipe card for how to do this.
- Bananas: Using frozen ripe bananas will add thickness and sweetness to every sip. Slice your ripe bananas and place them in a Ziploc bag overnight so that they’re ready to use the next day.
- Yogurt: I use plain Greek yogurt but you can use honey flavored and omit the requested honey. You can also use flavored yogurts like vanilla or peach for a stronger sweetness and flavor.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a high-powered blender, add all of the ingredients.
- Blend together until smooth.
- Pour into drinking glasses and enjoy.
Recipe Tips
When adding ingredients to the blender, it may help to have the milk at the base and to add in the larger ingredients after. This will help the blender to mix everything up more easily because the milk will help to keep everything moving around the blades more freely.
Using a rubber scraper tool can help to move the ingredients around if you find them sticking to the sides of the blender and not getting pulverized as they should. Just open the lid, scrape down the sides, place the lid back on and continue blending until smooth.
For more of a tropical flavor, you can substitute the milk for orange juice and help to bring in some more vitamins to the drink as well.
Dairy Free: To make this a dairy free smoothie use a nondairy yogurt and dairy free milk. Some dairy free milk options include almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, coconut milk, rice milk, cashew milk etc.
FAQs

In fact, there’s a lot of nutritious value in the peels so it may be worth trying. Just make sure to wash them well before using them.
Bananas are rich in many different complex carbs and potassium which makes them perfect for helping to avoid muscle cramps. This fruity smoothie recipe can be a perfect pre or post-workout drink to help fuel your body with the nutrients needed.
While you leave a premade smoothie in the fridge for about a day but as it sits and chills, the ingredients will separate. To fix this simply stir it up well before drinking. That said, smoothies are often best enjoyed when freshly made as that’s when the flavors and textures are best.
