Why This Recipe Works
- This is the best way to make a bunch of s’mores all at once. You don’t have to wait for a roasting stick or your place around the campfire. You can make a bunch of s’mores in one batch!
- Making s’mores in the oven is the way to go, especially if you don’t want to worry about campfire smells in your hair or clothes.
- This recipe is the best way to make s’mores because you can make them inside — any time of the year!
Ingredients

- Graham Crackers: You can check out my recipe tips section for other variations instead of graham crackers.
- Marshmallows: Definitely use the large marshmallows!
- Chocolate Bars: I opt for Hershey’s chocolate bars, but you could go for a symphony bar too! I have additional candy options in my recipe tips section.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Place graham cracker squares on a baking sheet. Top each square with chocolate.

- Place a large marshmallow on top of the chocolate.
- Broil them in the oven for a minute or two. Stay by the oven and watch them because they cook REALLY fast.
- They are done when the marshmallows are slightly puffy and are golden brown.
- Top with the remaining graham cracker squares and eat immediately. Feel free to add additional graham crackers to the pan to make even more sheet pan s’mores at a time!

Recipe Tips
Variations
Additional toppings you can try for these indoor s’mores are
- Instead of graham crackers, try fudge-striped cookies, chips ahoy, nutter butters, shortbread cookies, Oreos, or your favorite Girl Scout cookies, etc.
- Instead of Hershey’s chocolate bars, try peanut butter cups, Rolos, Snickers, Almond Joy, Take 5 Bar, Symphony bar, etc.
- In addition to the cookie, chocolate and marshmallow, try adding a dollop of Nutella, Biscoff spread, cream cheese, caramel, etc.
Storing
These oven baked s’mores are best enjoyed right away. However, if you have any leftover, store them in an airtight container or plastic bag in the fridge. You’ll have to reheat them in the oven again before eating.
Did you know you can also make s’mores in the microwave?! Genius.
FAQs
Marshmallows will expand and brown in the oven, similar to how they cook over a campfire. When your oven is set to broil, they will cook and brown REALLY fast, so make sure to watch them.
Check out some of my variations in my recipe tips section above which include cookie options such as Oreos, nutter butters, shortbread cookies, fudge-striped cookies, Girl Scout Cookies, etc.
When you are making s’mores in the oven, you can have s’mores any season! Traditionally s’mores are enjoyed during the summer over an outdoor campfire, but oven baked s’mores means you can enjoy them any time of the year.
