Why This Recipe Works

  • A microwave s’more is the way to go if you are looking for a quick treat.

Recipe Tips

Cooking times will vary depending on your microwave.

If you don’t want your chocolate melted, don’t put it in the microwave. You can add the chocolate after heating the mallow.

If you want a meltier chocolate: Place the chocolate on a graham cracker square and microwave for 7-10 seconds. THEN add the mallow and microwave until puffed up. Top with the other graham cracker square and enjoy!

Be sure to use a microwave-safe plate.

You can do multiple microwave s’mores at a time, it just might take a bit longer than the 15 seconds to get each of the marshmallows puffy. If your microwave doesn’t have a turntable inside (a plate that turns while the microwave is on) then you’ll want to stop in the middle of the time and flip the plate.

These are best eaten fresh.

FAQs

Can marshmallows be microwaved?

Yes! Microwaved marshmallows get puffy, soft and gooey — so delicious! If you leave them in the microwave for too long they’ll start melting and can sometimes explode. So stick to the time in the recipe.

How long do you put a s’more in the microwave for?

Just 15-20 seconds or until the marshmallow puffs up a bit.
